Once upon a time a veteran mechanic washed his hands and decided to bake. His wife took a job in Shanghai, China teaching in an international school, so he baked bread and scones for the hungry expats and her Chinese colleagues. Sully's by the Sea was born. COVID changed everything, so Rob and his Laurie came early to their beloved Lubec for "retirement" where he now sells bagels, smoked meats and many delicious foods.
Rob started with making scones: cream, blueberry, cranberry-orange, pumpkin spice, and chocolate chip. He added sourdough bread, rye bread, French bread, and white bread. Then he added his Polish grandmother's Russian Tea Cakes and chocolate chip cookies. Cheesecake became his next venture, and he perfected it! So many bakery items followed, and then, he starting smoking meat in Maine! So, Sully's by the Sea became more than a bakery. Our vision is to have a seated bistro in our 1890 home! Stay tuned!
